Families Under Attack – Again.

There is no doubt that our society has changed greatly over the past few years, and from a Biblical world-view, it has NOT changed for the better. One of the most obvious areas of change has been in sexuality and family structures. The recent legislation to introduce ‘Gay Marriage’ in England and Wales is just the most recent example of how the culture is attacking family structures. Historically, a family was comprised of a mother and a father and (in God’s will) children. This ideal, Biblical structure, introduced at the beginning of time, has been attacked so aggressively over the last couple of decades, that it is now commonplace in our society for couples to co-habitate before marriage, to co-habitate without any intention of marriage, to have children with no father in the home, to have children by multiple fathers… the list goes on. So-called ‘Gay Marriage’ is the latest in the culture’s attacks on Biblical marriage.

How did we get here, and how did it happen so quickly? One of the tactics of the cultural modernisers was to invent a term which could be used to denigrate those who opposed them, and then use that term to vilify and silence anyone who dared speak up against their plans. (This tactic was also used by New Labour in the UK to silence those who opposed their mass immigration strategy – where anyone who dared oppose the unregulated influx of foreigners, causing our classrooms and hospitals to strain to breaking point, was branded a ‘racist’ – even those who argued from the mildest and most concerned standpoints) In sexual morality, the made-up word HOMOPHOBIA has entered our language and our dictionaries. It doesn’t mean an irrational fear of homosexuals, as its structure might suggest. It is used as a slur, to smear anyone who opposes the latest ‘advance’ by the homosexual lobby.

So, be aware. A new word may be about to enter the lexicon, and it may soon be backed with legislation, just as ‘homophobia’ has been. In the USA some legislators are codifying laws to outlaw HETEROSEXUALISM. Now, what is ‘heterosexualism?’ It is the idea that a mother and father might teach their children that the natural thing to do in this life is to grow up and marry a person of the opposite sex and have babies. It will be extended to schools, (and churches?) where it will be an offence to teach the children anything other than that they should expect to marry another ‘person’ – whatever their sex or sexuality might be. And anyone who objects will be labeled a disgusting bigot – a HETEROSEXIST.

And the next stage will be reached in the attack on the family.

Be warned, but remember that God knows this even before we do, and his judgement will be sure and righteous.
