2017 at Ballymacashon
Happy New Year to all our members, friends and supporters. It’s 2017, the year that marks the 500th anniversary of when Martin Luther posted his 95 Theses on the door of the University Church in Wittenberg. Many evangelicals will mark this historic event and be thankful for the events that, in the providence of God, it precipitated.
At Ballymacashon we too will be grateful and throughout the year we will be learning more about Luther, his story, his doctrines and his firm stand for the faith.
On the Lord’s Day mornings we will return to basics, teaching the fundamentals of the Christian Faith in our series ‘Christianity 101’. On Tuesdays we will discuss and explore issues that arise. At our Monday Evening Extra meetings we will learn more about the reformer Martin Luther, his life and times.
We commence today, 1st January by exploring the teaching in Lord’s Day 1 of the Heidelberg Catechism – in two sermons.
At 11.30am the topic is ‘I am not my own man’. Based on Romans 8.
At 3.30pm the topic is ‘The Key to Real Happiness is Misery!’ Based on Titus 3:1-8.
Everyone is welcome to join with us!
